Mpendulo Oscar Dladla

Founder & CEO

Mr. Mpendulo Oscar Dladla, fondly known as Mr. Mgobhozi, was born and raised in eSahlumbe, near Ladysmith. The youngest of five brothers, he developed a strong determination and work ethic early on, which later inspired him to start his own business.

In 2011, at age 33, Mr. Mgobhozi founded Mgobhozi Funeral Services, motivated by his brothers' influence and his own drive for success. On October 1, 2013, the company launched its first branch in Weenen, marking the start of a remarkable journey.

Today, Mgobhozi Funeral Services operates 11 branches, with Weenen as the main branch, and others in Estcourt, Bergville, Winterton, Tugela, Pomeroy, Uitval, Colenso, and Ladysmith, which hosts three branches. The company's growth owes much to the efforts of his brothers, Sandile Nelson Dladla, who manages operations in Ladysmith, and Zulohlophe Gideon Dladla, who handles clientele in Johannesburg.

Mr. Mgobhozi has kept the business a family affair, employing his nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his daughter serves as the financial manager, ensuring the company's stability and growth.

Mgobhozi Funeral Services has become a pillar of support for families during difficult times, providing dignified funeral services. Mr. Mgobhozi’s dedication to his business and community has cemented his reputation as a compassionate entrepreneur and regional leader.

Looking ahead, Mr. Mgobhozi aims to expand further, driven by a vision of fostering self-sufficiency among young people and offering them growth opportunities. His resilience and determination are evident as he navigates challenges, always emerging stronger and more inspired to make a meaningful impact.
